Family Keys is a pilot program through the Department of Children and Families. Wood County is one of three counties developing strategies to reduce the number of families who are separated due to housing instability. 

Family Keys supports families involved in the child welfare system who are also experiencing housing instability. Social workers can refer families who are at-risk of a child’s out-of-home care placement or delayed reunification due to housing instability.

Each family enrolled in Family Keys is surrounded by a team for support including their social worker, FSET case manager, housing navigator, family resource coordinator, and other providers or supportive individuals. This wraparound team approach to serving families empowers them to work on and progress in their goals. Family Keys utilizes a Housing First framework and promotes long-term housing sustainability.
