  • Receiving FoodShare assistance in Wisconsin
  • Age 16 or older
  • Have an employment-related goal

The FoodShare Employment & Training (FSET) program is a voluntary program, providing free services to:

  • Individuals who are age 16 and older, and
  • Who are receiving FoodShare benefits. 

Services include case management support, various employment and education activities, and connections to employers and community resources that are based upon an individual’s unique and self-identified short-term employment or training goals. Specific activity and support options include, but are not limited to:

  • Career assessment and exploration
  • Job search assistance, including work history collection, job application completion, and employment leads
  • Employer connections
  • Soft skills training
  • Job skills training
  • Resume and cover letter development
  • Interview preparation
  • GED/literacy education
  • Barrier abatement

Our services and supports don’t stop when participants secure employment. FSET can also assist with job retention support, including working toward career advancement or professional development goals, expanding soft skills or specific job skills, providing support for workplace conflicts and difficult communications with employers, and more. We believe that every participant we work with should have the opportunity to use their skills and experiences to secure and maintain their best job yet!

Participants who are actively engaging in the FSET program are eligible to receive support services to complete their FSET activities, including transportation assistance, interview and work clothing, training costs, job retention support, and more.

CW Solutions is a service provider in both the NorthCentral FSET Region (Region 6) through a partnership with Wood County Human Services Department and effective 10/01/2024 the West Central FSET Region (Region 8).

Eligibility for FoodShare benefits, as well as BadgerCare, Wisconsin Shares (Child Care) and other income maintenance programs is completed by Income Maintenance Consortiums. 

Please contact the consortium that covers the county where you live to apply for FoodShare, update your benefits, or to ask for an FSET referral (see below).

Great stories have a personality. Consider telling a great story that provides personality. Writing a story with personality for potential clients will assist with making a relationship connection. This shows up in small quirks like word choices or phrases. Write from your point of view, not from someone else's experience.

Great stories are for everyone even when only written for just one person. If you try to write with a wide, general audience in mind, your story will sound fake and lack emotion. No one will be interested. Write for one person. If it’s genuine for the one, it’s genuine for the rest.
