4SIGHT strives to help youth involved in the justice system by preventing or reducing the need for out of home care. This is done by first completing an Executive Function Skills Assessment which identifies the environmental and internal triggers impacting a youth's behavior. Next, a tailored intervention plan is created with the youth and caregivers to support them in building the skills needed for success.
As a community based service, 4SIGHT meets with the youth and caregivers regularly to practice skills in the places they need it most. It is the belief of 4SIGHT that increasing the youth’s executive functioning skills will result in a decrease in negative behavior and more stability in school, relationships and overall functioning in the community.
Skill building sessions with youth and caregivers are formed using a strengths based approach and the belief that all families are capable of success. 4SIGHT uses a variety of methods to track youth progress and shift interventions as needed. Success is unique to each of our youth; therefore, 4SIGHT works collaboratively with caregivers, community members and other professionals on long-term environmental and behavioral change prior to program exit.
